15 Best Crock Pot Keto Recipes for tasty meals and Healthy Living

My family and I have been living and enjoying a keto-eating plan lifestyle for several years now and with much success.

For us, it was a chance to change our otherwise unhealthy eating routines that were leading to a whole host of physical and health-related issues which were easily treatable.

Since then we have edited and tweaked many recipes, some of which you’ll discover today they are highly versatile making them perfect for all family dynamics and individuals and you can add ingredients (or not) according to your preferences.

Finding crock pot keto recipes for tasty meals and healthy living was tricky at first, but now you wouldn’t believe how effortless these dishes are, and as soon as you try them you’ll wish you had found them earlier.

#1. Crock pot Teriyaki Chicken

The thing that many people don’t know when they hear about keto and the eating changes you make is that they aren’t as big or scary as you may have thought but are easily attainable, and you can start small too, which makes the transition that much easier.

This is one of those easy crock pot keto recipes that you will want to make time and time again because it takes almost no time to prepare all the ingredients, everything cooks in one place eliminating hundreds of pots and pans and mountains of washing up, and is sugar-free.

A winning dish that was one of the first we tried and still features regularly on our dinner menu rotation.

Leave out the seeds if there are any nut allergies, and opt for fresh chili or even dried chili flakes for a great pop of color.

There is nothing tricky or difficult about this dish so even the older children can get involved and once they have mastered the art of throwing everything into the crockpot and turning it on low, you can have a well-deserved moment of peace.

#2.  Crack Chicken in the Crock-Pot is keto-friendly

Low carb or better yet, no-carb, is all I want to make my life run smoothly.

I don’t know if it is something in the flour or starch that just doesn’t work for me, or it is my body rejecting the bad ingredients, but when healthy slow cooker keto recipes taste this good who needs carbs, right?

This is a dish that tastes just as good as it looks, if not better, and knowing that bacon is involved is all I need to give it a go.

Be sure to have a generous bowl of crispy fried (in olive oil or garlic butter) bacon on the side for the family to dig into and sprinkle over the top when their plates have been dished. I like to have herbs in the mix too for a light touch to the overall meal.

There is nothing this meal doesn’t have. You have flavor and richness all wrapped into one bite, and you don’t need to watch it the whole day either, win-win.

#3. Easy low carb keto taco casserole recipe

Simple, effortless food has never looked or tasted this good and my husband was in shock when I told him this meal is completely keto-friendly.

We love tacos in our family, but the shells are what stop us from the traditional taco nights we used to enjoy regularly, until now.

Discovering these keto crock pot recipes that could be enjoyed without the taco shells allowed us to savor our favorite flavors once again. I have also since found a homemade taco chip recipe creation that we eat with the meal, and crunch some of them over the top of the dish for a texture variation which is perfect.

That being said, we haven’t dismissed all the ingredients, the fresh salsa (which we have elevated) works excellently in this dish, and with a generous squeeze of lime (it tastes better with this recipe than lemon, but if lemon is all you have then don’t leave it out) it lightens the overall meal for a fresh bite during the summer season.

We enjoy this on the deck outside by the garden, with summer music playing, and chilled drinks all around, what more could you ask for.

#4. Low-carb taco soup

From one season to the next, tacos follow us the year around. And why not, it is so delicious so we edit current recipes or create new ones to incorporate our favorite ingredients.

Who doesn’t love a Mexican-inspired meal in the middle of the week, right?

And what is one of the best parts about using a slow cooker is that these crock pot keto recipes can be made in bulk meaning there is more than enough for the entire family to have second helpings, and then some.

A simple dish to put together, left to do its slow cooking thing throughout the day you have a meal that is ready and there is enough to feed an army.

This pairs perfectly with chunky bread for guests and family members that aren’t following a keto eating plan (and we don’t expect them to either) but tastes beautiful as is too.

If you want a fuss-free dish then this is the one for you.

#5. Keto Sausage and peppers in your crockpot

When I first started making dietary changes and looking at each ingredient on the packaging I thought I was doomed, that I would never find food that was sugar and carb free and I would have to become a vegetarian and forever salad eater (not something I was looking forward to I can tell you that now).

This is why discovering these healthy keto slow cooker recipes made my heart sing and leap for joy.

I had no idea that healthy food could taste this delicious (all those years of watching aunties force dry leaves into their mouths) and now I eat comfort food that is good for my body. Is there anything more you could want from your food?

We love sausage in our family so I often try to find a homemade flavored version from the local butchers with herbs and garlic, or smoked paprika impossible which is amazing with the peppers in this dish, but you have options and that is what I needed to hear and find out for myself.

I did. I have. And we love it. The peppers have a subtle sweetness to them that compliments the ender sausage meat and they all simmer gently in a liquid packed with intense flavor. What a winning dish that is a must-have to make for the family.

#6. Easy keto low carb beef chili made in the crockpot

This has all the goodness of a Bolognese (minus the carb-loaded pasta, of course) and is filling without leaving you feeling bloated and stuffed which carb products tend to do and one of the many negatives we don’t miss in our house.

If you are like us and have been on this specific eating nutritional plan for some time you will have found many recipes for all sorts of dishes, but one big ingredient the kids missed a lot was bread so finding a substitute was a must, and we did.

Making homemade bread with almond flour is just as simple and delicious and takes little to no time to make, and if you have a nut allergy in the family then using coconut flour for bread rolls or biscuits is just as great.

Serve the keto-friendly bread option with this dish to scoop up the saucy meat as you tuck in or to absorb all the flavor-filled liquid surrounding the tender minced beef. I also add chopped carrots, peppers, and onions that are easily hidden in the tomato-based sauce but this way I know the kids are getting a portion of vegetables in them and I don’t have to have a pro-veggie debate at the dining table.

A win in my book for sure.

#7. Slow-Cooker Keto Pot Roast

I love a good roast on a Sunday afternoon after church, but times are busier than ever before with the kids growing up and being more involved in activities that require driving them to and from practice, but it was something I missed.

So, hearing that the slow cooker keto recipes world had something for me was a prayer answered, and now we have the luxury of coming home after the morning service to a home-cooked meal that is falling apart and tender, and needed no supervision while it is carried on with its slow cooking, and tastes and looks like you have spent hours in the kitchen slaving over it.

Use the liquid at the bottom of the crockpot to make a flour-based roux (coconut or almond flour please) and whisk in thick knobs of butter and almond milk to make a gravy to pour over the meat on the plate and to smother it in goodness.

A side tip – you can use cow’s milk if it is straight from the cow and has not gone under any pasteurizing or preservation. Boil the natural milk to purify it and kill any bacteria present and proceed to use as normal.

A side order of green vegetables and cauliflower florets or rice make this the ultimate feel-good food after a good morning sermon.

#8. Crock Pot Chicken Wings

My little boy loves chicken wings, chicken drum sticks, and anything chicken-related, but the same old portion pieces can get a bit boring after a while, a person can only eat so many chicken thighs in a month.

So I tried to convince him that these wings would be just as good, and he gave it a two thumbs up.

This is a two-part step meal but is worth the effort, and is as golden and tasty as the traditional oven-baked or fried versions.

Simply season the wings and fill the slow cooker with them and the chicken broth liquid. These cook for around an hour or so, just check them with a thermometer if unsure. I have cooked them from frozen before when I forgot to take them out the night before and they work and taste just as well but do take longer to thaw and cook through.

(Which is fine when there is laundry and ironing to do while binge-watching Netflix, am I right?)

Then drain them onto a baking tray or sheet, brush with your homemade BBQ keto sauce and broil for a few minutes (keep a close eye on them because they burn very easily) till golden and shiny. And who said that Keto eating didn’t have gorgeous tasting foods.

#9. Slow-cooker beef and broccoli

My husband loves this dish because it is so close to the one we used to order when we went to get takeout at our local Chinese restaurant every Friday, except for the fact that they used thick soy and teriyaki sauce (and a touch of plum sauce I have been lead to believe for a subtle touch of sweetness to the overall dish) which are all very high in sugar.

A humble dish with only meat and vegetables seems not substantial enough, but we were quickly proven wrong with that same thinking.

I like the idea of it being all greens and browns in the crockpot so I try to use only green colored vegetables and fill the cooker as much as I can get away with (without the family hunting for the meat pieces) with peppers, broccoli, jalapenos if only the hubby and I are dining that evening, and even zucchini at the end of the cooking process.

Quick and easy, and a great dish to fill the hunger gap.

#10. BBQ pulled chicken crock-pot recipe

Oh yes, you read that right, keto, BBQ, and pulled all in one sentence, is not something you would usually associate with a nutritional and healthy eating plan right? Wrong.

This has homemade sauces, lean meats, and slow cooking all wrapped up in one for the ultimate comfort food the family will be raving about.

You can shred the chicken, mix it with the sauce, and toss it into a summer salad to enjoy outdoors when the weather is cooling down after a scorcher of an afternoon (be sure to squeeze lime and a drizzle of apple cider vinegar to bring out the full flavor).

Or serve on the side with cauliflower rice and steamed vegetables to have a great tasting dinner that doesn’t leave you slaving away in the kitchen for hours on end.

A great version of the keto slow cooker recipes that we know and love, and if you have children in the house you will understand that anything with BBQ is a winner.

#11. Sugar-Free Low Carb Orange Chicken

Keto living means food products and items with no sugar (or using sugar alternatives and substitutes) but that sometimes leaves you wanting more.

This is a version of a classic recipe but done healthily.

Rather than using the generic oranges (like the fruit) this is a great option to swap those out for sugar-free orange marmalade and is not fried like the takeout version either.

And to keep it even leaner, this dish calls for skinless chicken breasts and no other parts like thighs or drums which is also a slice of darker meat on the bird.

So, while still maintaining the low-fat, low carb, and no sugar elements, you can enjoy your Friday night sit-down restaurant meal for not only half the cost, but in the comfort of your home.

Why then would you want anything other than the dish that is restaurant quality but so many times healthier, it is a no-brainer.

#12. Crock Pot Bacon Ranch Chicken Recipe

Bacon is the one ingredient that makes the world go around, at least that’s what I like to believe because it just makes everything taste that much better.

And on keto, thankfully, bacon is allowed. Winner chicken dinner.

When I read the ingredients in this recipe I was worried it would be too greasy, but the liquid is filled with flavor and makes for a great dressing is thickened with a little almond flour to drizzle over the chicken and cauliflower rice or mash.

While the dish is simmering I like to make an extra portion of bacon pieces chopped up and pan-fried with garlic butter (I make my own) and olive oil till crispy and hard. We sprinkle this onto the meal when sitting around the dining table for extra saltiness and it adds a great texture and crunch to the meal.

This is a quick dish to prepare for those times when you need a last-minute supper solution and is easily doubled or tripled in size when having guests over. The more the merrier, right?

#13. Crock-Pot Creamy Tuscan Garlic Chicken Recipe

When we travel on holiday or for business or even sports trips I like to make a point of eating out at the local restaurants.

Sure they may not have (or should I say seldom have) keto food versions on their menus, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy them and take them home with us in photo evidence to recreate and edited to suit our family.

And this Tuscan Chicken dish is one of those we loved so much while abroad.

What is so perfect about this dish, other than it looks magazine-worthy when served with all the components beautifully nestled on top, is that the spinach and sundried tomatoes have a great pop of color to them that elevates the dish.

I like to sprinkle both garlic and onion powder into the mix in the last 5 minutes of the slow cooking process (and when no one is looking) and this has convinced my family that surely these keto crock pot recipes are too good to be true.

If I didn’t make this myself from scratch I too may have a kind of mentality. A crowd-pleasing, one-pot sensation that never disappoints.

#14. Chipotle Barbacoa

What I don’t like when it comes to trying new dishes or recipes is having to go to the supermarket for specific and sometimes impossible to find ingredients, but this meal is different.

Most of the items I already on hand, minus the beef chuck roast it stated (but substituted it with the beef shoulder I did have on hand so all was not lost), and the spices and flavors were pantry staples so I was on board.

Life is busy, we know this, so I am always on the hunt for meals and suppers that are quick, easy, and effortless. The less time I need to spend on them, the better. If this sounds like you and the types of dinners you search for then look no more, this ticks all the boxes of a simple dish with exceptional taste.

The beef cooks till it has no other choice but to sacrifice its tender self for your enjoyment, it is filled with moisture from absorbing all those meaty juices created from simmering gently for several hours and falls apart without you exerting any energy.

It makes for perfect salads, sandwiches for the following day’s lunchboxes, or to roll in wraps for a quick grab-and-go snack for the children in the car as you head to the next football practice. With so many options on the table, there is something for everyone.

#15.  Healthy crock-pot recipe for low carb, blueberry lemon custard cake

I loved everything about the title of this recipe, and the taste did not disappoint either.

If you did not know yet, fruit in keto is a no-no, except for the very few exceptions from the berry family, blueberries being one of them, strawberries, and raspberries the others, and even then only in very small doses.

So knowing I could end the meal and day with a sweet treat and not fall out of ketosis made my soul sing for joy, because I am a sweet treat lover, keto is not always easy for me and takes a lot of discipline.

I made this cake variation with much success, and how do I know it was a success I hear you asking, well, the kids each had a second portion, and that is a win for me. Yes, I’ll b honest that certain ingredients in keto do taste very specific and for children can be tough to get on board with, but this was a hit.

It has gone to the top 10 go-to dessert dishes in the monthly menu rotation when you feel like something a little bit naughty. Now you can have your cake and eat it too, and all without worrying about your waistline, yes, please.
